Okay FIRST OF ALL... I love these two humans. Kaitlyn and Nick are the kind of couple who just radiate this easy, genuine joy... the kind that makes u giggle while they’re giggling. And boy oh boy, was there a lot of giggling 😂


We headed out to beautiful Kananaskis for their engagement session... and like true mountain weather vibes, we got sun, wind, and thank goodness we missed the THUNDERSTORM that blew right past us!


But let’s rewind to how this whole love story started...


🍻 A House Party & Beer Pong Beginnings


Kaitlyn and Nick met just over TEN years ago (y’all, that’s a DECADE of love 😭) at a house party through mutual friends. They ended up being beer pong partners all night long, and let’s just say neither of them minded that one bit 💁‍♀️😉


💍 The Proposal: River Views & Holiday Vibes


Nick totally nailed the proposal with the most Banff-core weekend ever.  Think cozy Christmas markets, wintery beer fest fun, and that crisp mountain air. ❄️🍻


On their second morning there, they grabbed coffee and took a walk along the river. While crossing a bridge (hello ✨storybook moment✨), Nick turned to Kaitlyn and asked her to marry him. Just them, the river below, and a beautiful "yes" in the cold mountain air 🥹 Afterward? Straight to the market and beer fest to celebrate. Talk about the BEST DAY EVER!!!


🏕️ Rosé, River Days, and Campfire Feels


These two loooove camping... like, even when it’s a little chilly out. Nothing stops them from packing up the gear and heading into the woods 🏕️❤️


We were hoping to do a full-on camping-themed session, but the timing didn’t quite work out. So instead, they brought the vibe with them: cozy layers, boots, and all the outdoorsy feels. It was the perfect nod to their adventures without needing a tent in the background... and honestly? It just made the whole thing feel super *them* ✨


☀️ Their Kananaskis Session: Giggly, Windy, Wild


Kananaskis delivered its usual magic: sunshine, gusty wind (hello tousled hair!), and yes... a BEAR sighting on the drive in 🐻 (don’t worry, we stayed in the car 😂).


Kaitlyn and Nick were nervous, which is so normal... but once we got into it, they were giggling nonstop. I swear half the session was just them laughing at each other’s awkwardness and me yelling “YESSSS THAT’S PERFECT” every 10 seconds 🤪📸


These two are the real deal. I absolutely cannot wait for their wedding — it’s gonna be a PARTY, and I’ll be the one sobbing behind my camera 🥹💃
